Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy
Why registration and payments are checked
As a licensed operator, 888starz is required to prevent its platform from being used to move money of unlawful origin. The rules below are the operator's; they explain why some steps around registration and withdrawals look stricter than players expect.
One person, one account
Only one account is allowed per person, household, device, IP address and payment method. Accounts found to be linked are closed, and balances can be withheld pending review.
Your own money, your own details
Deposits must come from a payment method registered in the account holder's name, and withdrawals go back to the same method - in Kenya, the same M-Pesa number that made the deposit. Payouts to third parties are not made.
Turnover before withdrawal
Deposited funds have to be staked at least once at odds of 1.1 or higher before they can be withdrawn. A deposit followed by an immediate withdrawal request is treated as a transfer, not as betting, and is returned by the security service after review.
Verification
The operator may request an identity document, a photo of you holding it, proof of address or a video call at any time, and always before a large withdrawal. Checks take up to 72 hours from receipt of documents. Refusing verification leads to a frozen balance.
Reporting
Suspicious activity is reported to the authorities as required by Kenyan law. 888Starz in Kenya is operated by Zenit Solutions Limited, Lavington, Nairobi, under License No. 0000583, and betting in Kenya is regulated by the Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA).
